Human Dignity 2002
Human dignity is a single-channel video installation comprised of images of protest against, as well as propaganda for the national front party in the lead up to the 2002 French elections.
Images of the intoxicating and dangerous rhetoric of nationalism, embodied by Jean-Marie Le Pen, are edited together with documentation of violence under the Pinochet dictatorship.
The juxtaposed images create a sense of urgency about the specter of fascism.
Human Dignity was presented as part of “Art for the Renaissance of Mankind” IGS Exhibition in the National Museum of Enugu, Nigeria 2002.
